Description:
This will be designed and put in by students in the project. The first day will be devoted to making a design, choosing native plants and flowers from books with pictures and learning why native plants are important. We will also prepare the soil and the area for the plants and flowers. The second day will be a visit to the native plant nursery to choose the plants in the design. We will get a tour of the nursery and make sure the plants we have chosen are what we want. The third day will be the actual putting in of the plants and flowers and maybe a tree or two. We also will try to buy a bench to put near the garden so that students can hang out there and enjoy the beauty of the flowers and the pond. We will buy some fish for the pond and make it is an appealing place to go on campus. The 4th day at the presentation will be an explanation of why native plants are important on campus and also have everyone come to look at the new garden.
